You may recall an earlier post about knitting sweaters for penguins affected by oil spills. Well here’s another reason to pull out those knitting needles! Leggings for Life is an organization committed to connecting knitting and crochet enthusiasts with animals living with deformed or amputated limbs. Help Fix Up Bugsy’s Dog Run

I’m sure some of our Astorian clients will recognize this  dog run over by Shore Towers at the edge of the park. Formally known as “Bugsy’s Dog Run” there is a local movement mobilizing to make it a cleaner, happier place for local dog owners and walkers. (And of course, the dogs!)

For those of you interested in helping out please visit the Astoria Dog Owners’ Group on Facebook, where you can see a 3-D model of the redesign proposed by organizer Valentin Mosnegutu, and find out about upcoming meetings.
